Welcome!

Our Childcare PROGRam

As a home based provider, I believe in small teacher to child ratios and a home and school balance. As an early learning educator, I apply the same attention to academic success as well as ages and stages milestones with the added touch of a loving home environment.

I use a combination of play-based learning and academic learning. In play-based learning, children choose their own activities and it helps a child develop holistically through social-emotional learning, developing confidence and motivation, and practicing cognitive skills. The academic or traditional approach is more focused on teacher-led activities meant to prepare children for kindergarten and teaches young children cognitive skills and knowledge through structure and routine.

Our day consists of a traditional preschool/childcare schedule and routine. We typically do the same types of activities at the same time each day which includes a balance of play-based learning, academic learning with things like circle time, teacher-led projects and outside time. We also have snack two times daily, lunch, quiet time and reading each day. Parents get a monthly calendar that outlines our weekly themes, special events and other information.

By choosing a singular childcare home provider, you are basically choosing an option in between a daycare center/preschool and a nanny. You have one point of contact and one caregiver to communicate with and your children get the more individualized attention and care they deserve. At the same time, it is a more affordable option compared to a nanny and your child will still have the added benefit of socializing with a small group of children.

There are many things to consider when choosing childcare for your family. At the end of the day only you can choose what is right for your family and I am here to answer any questions you may have!
